ILR School Dean Kevin Hallock talks with labor economist Ronald Ehrenberg, regarded as one of the world’s leading experts on higher education reform and finance, Tuesday, Nov. 10 at noon, as part of the ILR Online webcast series. Ehrenberg will examine some of the key questions confronting higher education, including: why tuition keeps rising and the future of public higher education, disparity in access to higher education and degrees earned, the role of technology and its future impact, the shift from the social role of higher education, and the future of the liberal arts.
Ehrenberg is Cornell’s Irving M. Ives Professor of Industrial and Labor Relations and Economics, a Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellow and director of the Cornell Higher Education Research Institute.
