A series of experiments has now provided neurophysiological and behavioral evidence that Aedes aegypti mosquitoes—which transmit such diseases as yellow fever, Dengue, Zika, West Nile and Chikungunya viruses—can hear specific frequencies as far away as 10 meters or more.
