The Victoria lily (Victoria x ‘Longwood Hybrid’) began its dramatic two-day flower display—its first since being moved to the new water feature in the Palm House of the Liberty Hyde Bailey Conservatory this summer—at 3 p.m. Sept. 2, 2016. This video compresses 52 hours of floral ballet into 100 seconds.
The conservatory houses one of several plant collections that make up the Liberty Hyde Bailey Hortorium in the Plant Biology Section of the School of Integrative Plant Science, and is maintained by the Cornell University Agricultural Experiment Station.
