The Cornell University Board of Trustees today unanimously elected Martha E. Pollack, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the University of Michigan, Cornell’s 14th president. Pollack will assume the presidency April 17, 2017.
The Presidential Search Committee held open forums in Ithaca on May 4 for faculty, staff and students to review the search process and discuss which attributes Cornell’s next president should have.
The search for Cornell’s 14th president has officially begun with the formation of a Presidential Search Committee, chaired by trustee Jan Rock Zubrow ’77, that plans to be as inclusive and thorough as possible.
