Two 2016 World Food Prize laureates — Jan Low, M.S. ’85, Ph.D. ’94, an agricultural economist with the International Potato Center (known by its Spanish acronym, CIP), and Howarth "Howdy" Bouis, director of HarvestPlus — will be recognized Oct. 21 for their contributions to the development, research, and promotion of biofortification as a strategy to alleviate iron, zinc, and vitamin A deficiencies in developing countries.
